I actually come to know about Hanare from another Japanese restaurant that used to operate in Bkt Bintang, which, unfortunately, has closed down a while ago. Missing the flavour & taste i have been trying to search for where the crew went after the closure and eventually, got to know that the same crew, has set up a new restaurant named Hanare, located in The Intermark, Jalan Tun Razak. I went to try on their food when they first opened. The menu was very simple. They offered omekase set, sashimi and sushi only. I tried once at the initial stage about a year back. Fresh & good quality food it has, but insufficient choices. Throughout the year, they kept improving and in my latest visit last week, i must say the dining experience has finally evolved to a really satisfying one! we ordered sashimi of course, moriawase and let the chef decides whats the best for us! Sashimi was delicious, all fresh and chunky! The prawn especially, was extra good! Among the sashimi there is this little fish in a small bowl which, honestly i cant name it, but it is nice. One thing about Hanare, it offers not just good quality fresh sashimi but you can also always expect something special, something you dont normally get in a ordinary japanese restaurant out there! (eg this fish) Many of their fresh fish are air-flown from Tsukiji Fish Market so rest assured that they are of the top quality. Apart from the super yummy sashimi we also ordered sushi set. Delicious! Hanare also serves another dish that is also of my favourite - Inaniwa Udon. Inaniwa Udon is actually a thin type of udon and originated from Akita Prefecture. It is rated as the top grade among all Udons and here in KL you definitely don't get this everywhere! I like it to be served cold. Best part is, the noodles still ramain al dante after cooking. With a sprinkle of sesame on top, it goes perfectly well with japanese soy sauce dip. A must try! We also ordered a Tendon, which, unfortunately was eaten before i realised picture not taken Overall food quality is definitely very good. One of the best in town for sure! Just a bit pricey, but for this quality of food, dining environment and service, i think it's more or less fair :) |
